The
following Notification will be published in an Ex-ordinary issue of the Andhra
Pradesh, Gazette dated:23/09/2013.
The
Commissioner of Printing Stationery and Stores Purchase, Hyderabad is requested
to furnish 50 copies of the Gazette containing the following notification to
the Government:-
NOTIFICATION
Whereas,
the services connected with affairs of the State in relation to the maintenance
of Water Supply and distribution, Drainage, Conservancy including scavenging,
slaughter-houses, markets, all medical facilities, sweeping of streets, solid
waste management including transportation and street lighting are essential services
as defined in Section 2(1) (a) (i) of the
Andhra
Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (Andhra Pradesh Act No.20 of
1971).
And
whereas the Government have satisfied in public interest that it is necessary
and expedient to prohibit strikes / hartals / bandhs in the Municipalities and
Municipal Corporations indicated in the annexure appended to this notification
for a period of six months.
Now,
therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3
of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (Andhra Pradesh
Act No.20 of 1971), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby prohibit
strikes/hartals/bandhs in all services connected with the maintenance of Water
Supply and distribution, Drainage, Conservancy including scavenging, slaughter-houses,
markets, all medical facilities, sweeping of streets, solid waste management
including transportation and street lighting in Municipalities and Municipal
corporations indicated in the annexure appended to this notification for a
period of six months with effect on and from the date of publication of this
notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.
