O R D E R :
In the circumstances stated by the Commissioner, Information and
Public Relations in the letter read above, the Government held a meeting
on 21.02.2015 with certain prominent editors and media representatives
from Print and Electronic Media to discuss various issues relating to
accreditation and other welfare measures for the benefit of Telangana
Journalists. Since accreditation is the staring point for extending required
welfare measures for the Telangana Journalists among other things, the
Government decided that an Accreditation Committee comprising of
prominent members from the print and electronic media be constituted
forthwith in supersession of the existing the then A.P. Media Accreditation
Rules 1999 and the A.P. Media Accreditation Rules, 2005 with the following
members.

2.  The Committee constituted above will be charged with the
responsibility for preparing necessary policy and guidelines/ rules for
extending the facility to members of the media and accreditation in
Telangana State and the Committee constituted for this purpose shall
examine the existing accreditation rules and hold consultation with all the
stakeholders and formulate necessary policy and guidelines etc for issue
and renewal of accreditation to eligible members of the print and
Electronic Media etc. The Government further direct that the Committee
shall furnish its report within one week, enabling the Government to issue
necessary orders to this effect.
3.  After formulation of the media Accreditation Rules etc., the
Government will issue the separate orders constituting the State Media
Accreditation Committee which will be charged with the responsibility of
receiving and processing applications from eligible journalists for issue of
Telangana Media Accreditation Cards etc. as the case may be.
