O R D E R :
It
has been proposed to take up educational reforms in the state of
Andhra Pradesh and the state endeavors to take the higher
education to a
world class level adopting best practices from within the
state, other states
in the country and at a global level. It is envisaged to
make Andhra
Pradesh a preferred destination for Higher Education for
youth in Andhra
Pradesh and beyond, meeting their aspirations towards
employability,
entrepreneurship, innovation and research. Employability of
students in
tune with requirement of the industry as per the emerging
trends and
demand in the market is also focused upon. To achieve this
vision and
goal, among other things, it has been decided to constitute
a “State
Knowledge Advisory Board” with persons of repute and
expertise in Higher
Education, Industry and Entrepreneurship to assist the State
achieve the
vision objectives and outcomes for Higher Education. The
role of the
Board is to guide and advise reforms in Higher Education in
Andhra
Pradesh to reach global standards, increase collaborations and
industry
participation and simultaneously help the state become an
Education and
Knowledge Hub.
2. Accordingly, the
Government hereby constitutes
the “State
Knowledge Advisory Group” and nominates a team of members
[36 No.s]
of repute representing academics, industry and
entrepreneurship as
detailed in the annexure appended to this order.
3. The Secretary to
Higher Education will act as Member-Convener to
the State Knowledge Advisory Group.
