ORDER:
 The following Notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra
Pradesh Gazette, on 30th March, 2015.
NOTIFICATION
Whereas, in pursuance of the Notification issued by the Governor of Andhra
Pradesh on 19.02.2015 under section 16 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951
(43 of 1951), elections have been held on 22.03.2015 for the purpose of filling the seats
of the members of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from the two (2) Teachers’
Constituencies (East-West Godavari Teachers’ constituency and Krishna-Guntur
Teachers’ constituency), who are retiring on the 29th March, 2015 on the expiration of
their term of office;
2. And whereas, Notification has been issued by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh on
10.03.2015 under section 16 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951)
for election to the four (4) seats in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council by the
Members of the Legislative Assembly, who are retiring on the 29th March, 2015 on the
expiration of their term of office and one (1) vacant seat as per section 23 of the Andhra
Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014;
3. And whereas, the counting of votes was taken on 25.03.2015 in respect of
Teachers’ Constituencies. The Returning Officers of the said Teachers’ Constituencies
have declared the results after counting of votes. The election to the Andhra Pradesh
Legislative Council by the Members of the Legislative Assembly was uncontested and
five (5) members have been declared as elected on 20.03.2015 by the Returning Officer;
4. Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 74 of the Representation of the People
Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby notifies the names of the
members elected for the said Council Constituencies, along with their party affiliation, if
any, in the Schedule to this Notification.
