Financial assistance from National Sports Development Fund to Ms M C Mary Kom (Boxing) for training

Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved financial assistance to Ms M C Mary Kom (Boxing) for training for 10 days from March 10 to 19, 2016 in India and 15 days from March 20 to April 03, 2016 in China and to convey the approval of the competent authority for financial assistance as explained below:

Financial assistance from National Sports Development Fund to Naresh Kumar Sharma, Shooter (Paralympics) for training and purchase of Equipment under TOP Scheme

Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has selected to Naresh Kumar Sharma, Shooter (Paralympics) under the Target Olympic Podium (TOP) Scheme and allocated a budget of Rs 40.00 Lacs for training/ purchase of equipment and other support for Paralympic Games 2016. The competent authority has enhanced his budget to Rs 70.00 Lacs (Rupees Seventy lacs only) till Paralympic Games 2016.

The Ministry has approved financial assistance to Naresh Kumar, Shooter (Paralympics) for training and purchase of equipment. The competent authority has approved in-principle his proposal for the following items subject to submission of invoices and other supporting documents:

a) First phase of training for 15 days in Switzerland and 05 days in Germany

b) Purchase of the following items

(1) Wheel Chair + Shooting Table with accessories

(2) Bleiker .22 Rifle

(3) Air Rifle and accessories

(4) Auscor Training Machine

(5) Scat Training System

Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved financial assistance to Vikas Gowda, Athlete you from National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) for training at John Godina’s World Athletic Centre, Phoenix (USA) for the period from December 2014 to August 2015 and November 2015 to August 2016 (Total 19 Months). His claims on account of training expenses for the period from December 2014 August 2015 have been settled and admissible amount released to the Training Center and to Vikas Gowda. His subsequent claims for the period from September 2015 to February 2016 have been considered and approved by the competent authority as per details given below:

The proposed assistance is in continuation of the financial assistance sanctioned/released to him for training in Nigeria and participation in two competitions at Dubai and Kuala Lumpur during December 2015 – February 2016.

The competent authority has approved financial assistance for training at Persatuan Powerlifting Para Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The estimated cost for the proposed training has been worked out as explained below:

Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved the Financial assistance to following athletes for training at Almaty (Kazakhstan) and other venues under Mr. Stanislav Lapidus:

Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved financial assistance from NSDF under TOP Scheme to H S Prannoy, Badminton Player for reimbursement of expenses on account of Physiotherapy consultation, Calf support, purchase of items etc. during his training at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy, Hyderabad covering the period from August to November 2015. The competent authority has approved reimbursement of expenses to the tune of Rs 57,409.00 (Rupees Fifty seven thousand four hundred nine only).
