SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT – Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential
Educational Institutions Society - Shifting of students of Social Welfare Hostels into
APSWR Schools in a phased manner – Starting an additional section in each of the 5th to
10th classes in 71 APSWR Schools which are having sufficient vacant land - Proposal
approved by the Nodal Agency under SCSP – Administration Sanction - Orders – Issued.

2. From the Secretary, APWREIS, Hyderabad Lr.No.BD/Conversion of SW
Hostels/NABARD/2015, dated 26-12-2015.

ORDER:
In the reference 1st read above, the Nodal Agency in its meeting held on
23-09-2015 has agreed to the proposal, for taking up the construction of additional school
building with 6 classrooms, one staff room and additional dormitory building with 6
dormitory halls including toilets in each of the 71 APSWR Schools in which the land for
the proposed constructions is available, with an estimated cost of Rs.259.33 Crores.
2) In the reference 2nd read above, the Secretary, APSWREIS, Hyderabad has
requested to issue administrative sanction orders for Rs.259.33 Crores for “Construction
of additional school building with 6 class rooms, one staff room and additional dormitory
building with 6 dormitory halls including toilets in each of the following 71 APSWRS
Schools , in which the land for the proposed constructions is available” under the head of
Account “4225-01-277-11-34-530/531”, so as to shift about 17040 boarders of the SW
Hostels to APSWR Schools during the academic year 2016-2017.
3) Government after careful examination of the matter hereby accord administrative
sanction for Rs.259.33 Crores (Two Hundred and Fifty Nine Crores and thirty Three
Lakhs only) for “Construction of additional school building with 6 class rooms, one staff
room and additional dormitory building with 6 dormitory halls including toilets in 71
APSWRS Schools (Annexed to this G.O) in which the land for the proposed constructions
is available” under the head of Account “4225-01-277-11-34-530/531”, under SCSP, so
as to shift about 17040 boarders of the SW Hostels to APSWR Schools during the
academic year 2016-2017.
4) The Secretary, APSWREIS, Hyderabad/ Director of Social Welfare, AP,
Hyderabad is informed that, infrastructure of the Hostels which are in Government
buildings, when closed, will be used for office accommodation. The material component
to the extent feasible will be tapped from NREGA material component in consultation with
Commissioner, Rural Development. The balance payment can be spread over next 3
years as annuity by including this condition as one of the conditions in the tender itself.
5) The Secretary, APSWREIS / The Director of Social Welfare, AP Hyderabad is
directed to place the proposal to the State Council for the Development of SC / STs for
ratification.
6) The Secretary, APSWREIS / Director of Social Welfare, AP. Hyderabad shall take
action accordingly.
