ORDER:-

 In the circumstances reported by the Director of Insurance Medical
Services, Telangana State, Hyderabad in the letters 3rd & 5th read above, the
Government, after careful examination of the matter, have decided to amend the
Telangana Insurance Medical Service Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.183, Health
Medical & Family Welfare (Q1) Department, dt:4.5.1996 as amended from time to
time.

2. Therefore, the following notification shall be published in the Telangana
Gazette.

NOTIFICATION

 In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the
constitution of India and in super session of the Special Rules for the post of
Administrative Officer in the Office of the Directorate in Telangana Insurance
Medical Service Rules 2015 issued vide G.O.Ms.No.27, Labour Employment
Training & Factories (OP&IMS) Department, dt:28.04.2016 and all other powers
hitherto enabling, the Governor of Telangana hereby makes the following
amendments to the Telangana Insurance Medical Service Rules issued in
G.O.Ms.No.183, Health Medical & Family Welfare (Q1) Department, dt:4.5.1996,
as amended from time to time.

AMENDMENTS

In the said rules, -
1. In Rule 2, in class – D, - after category (3), the following category shall be
added, namely, -

 “Category (3A) : Administrative Officer in the Office of the Director of
Insurance Medical Services, Telangana State, Hyderabad.”

2. In rule 3, in the table thereunder, in Class-D, -
(i) Against the category 2 “Lay Secretary and Treasurer Grade-I including
Administrative Assistant, Welfare Officer and Audit Officer for the entry in
column (2),” the following shall be substituted,-
“By promotion of Lay Secretary and Treasurer, Grade-II and
Administrative Officer in the Office of Director of Insurance Medical
Services in the ratio of 1:1 respectively.”
(ii) After category “3: Lay Secretary and Treasurer Grade – II”, the following
shall be added in the respective column namely,-

“3A. Administrative Officers in the Office of the Director of Insurance Medical Services.

By appointment by Transfer of Superintendents working in the Office of the Director of Insurance Medical Services.

3. After rule 9, following rule shall be inserted, namely,-
“9-A. qualification for the post of the Administrative Officer in the Office of
Director of Insurance Medical Services: No person shall be eligible for
appointment by transfer, to the post of Administrative Officer, unless he / she
possess the following qualifications:-
(a) Must be a graduate of any recognized University in India established or
incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act or an
Institution recognized by University Grants Commission.
(b) Must have passed Accounts Test for Subordinate Officers Part-I and
Part-II or Executive Officers Test Conducted by State Public Service
Commission.”
4. In rule 11, in the table thereunder under the heading ‘Class-D’, after
category (3), the following shall be inserted in the respective columns, namely,-

“Category (3A)

Administrative Officers in the Office of the Director of Insurance Medical Services.

For the purpose of appointment by transfer discharge for want of vacancy, reappointment, seniority, transfer and posting and appointment as full member to the post of Administrative Officer, the unit of appointment shall be the Office of the Director of Insurance Medical Services, Telangana State, Hyderabad. NOTE: Transfer and postings of the Administrative Officer shall be made by the Director of Insurance Medical Services, Telangana State.
