Creation of (10) Junior Assistants Sub-Jails in Kurnool dt.

The Home Department has stated that during the year 1977 Sub Jails Administration in Kurnool District was transferred to the Prisons Department. For smooth running of the Jail Administration the Government have created certain posts, but Junior Assistant posts were not created in several sub-jails as well as Office of the District Sub-Jails Officer, Kurnool and in the absence of the Junior Assistant posts the Superintendents of Sub-Jails have to attend to the ministerial work in addition to their own executive duties which is affecting the Sub Jails Administration. The Sub-Jails Superintendents, being executive officers, are required to concentrate more on security and other important
aspects. Creation of Junior Assistant posts would not only reduce the burden on them but also enable them to concentrate on their fundamental duties. The Home Department have proposed for creation of (10) Junior Assistant posts in Kurnool District.

2. Government after careful examination of the matter hereby accord sanction for creation of [10] Junior Assistant post in the scale of Rs.8440-24950 in Kurnool district.
