ORDER:

The Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration in the letter 3rd

read above has submitted the proposals for enhancing the honorarium and

conveyance allowance to the Mayors/Deputy Mayors, Chairpersons/Vice-

Chairpersons and Corporators / Ward members.

2. The Government after careful examination of the matter and in

suppression of the earlier orders in this regard, hereby order for revision of the

existing Honorarium including Conveyance Allowance payable to the

Mayors/Deputy Mayors, Chairpersons/Vice-Chairpersons and Corporators /

Ward members of Urban Local Bodies in the state as specified below with

effect from the enhanced rates from the next financial year i.e. from

01.04.2015.

CATEGORY-I

Municipal Corporations:

Selection & Special Grade Municipalities:

CATEGORY-III

Other Municipalities and Nagarpanchayats:

3. The Mayor/Chairperson, Deputy Mayor/ Vice-Chairperson shall not draw

the Conveyance Allowance admissible to a Member.

4. The Government direct that the expenditure involved in payment of

Honorarium including Conveyance Allowance referred to the para-2 above,

shall be an item of expenditure for carrying out the purposes to the respective

Acts of the Corporation/ Municipality and shall be met from the General funds

of respective Urban Local Bodies.
