O R D E R:
Government of Telangana have
launched an ambitious project of
greening the State, with the
name “Telangana Ku Haritha Haaram”, a
flagship programme with a
target to plant 230 crore seedlings in 3 years,
duly involving all the Govt.
Departments, Local Bodies, Corporations and all
the stakeholders of the
society.
2. In the G.O. 3rd read above, orders have been issued constituting State
Level Steering Committee,
with Chief Secretary to Government as Chairman,
to review the progress and
suggest appropriate interventions for effective
implementation of Telangana
Haritha Haaram programme.
3. In the 1st meeting of State Level Steering Committee held on
12.03.2015, it was observed
that areas following under tank foreshore, canal
bunds and revenue lands are
major potential areas for taking up planting
activities in the Haritha
Haaram Programme. Therefore, it was felt necessary
to include Prl. Secretary,
Irrigation and Prl. Secretary, Revenue as members
in the State Level Steering
Committee to ensure effective participation of
Irrigation & Revenue
Departments in the Programme.
4. Government after careful
consideration hereby order to revise the G.O.
3rd read above, duly including Prl. Secretary, Irrigation and Prl.
Secretary,
Revenue as members in the
State Level Steering Committee. The
composition of the State
Level Steering Committee after revision is as under:
5. The State Level Steering
Committee will review the progress of the
programme and suggest
appropriate interventions for effective
implementation of “Telangana
Haritha Haaram”, from time to time.
6. This order issues in
supersession of the orders issued vide G.O.3rd read
above.
7. The Principal Chief
Conservator of Forests, Telangana State,
Hyderabad shall take
necessary action accordingly.
