ORDER:

The following notification shall be published in an extra-ordinary edition of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette:-

NOTIFICATION

In terms of rule 3 of the State Mental Health Rules, 1990 framed and notified by the Government of India in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Department of Health) on the 29thDecember, 1990 read with Section 4 of the Mental Health Act, 1987 (14 of 1987),the Government of Andhra Pradesh here by Re-constitute the Andhra Pradesh State Mental Health Authority consisting of the following members as indicated hereunder:-

OFFICIAL MEMBERS:

(1)Principal Secretary, Health, Medical &Family Welfare Department. Chairman.

(2)Prl. Secy., Women & Child Welfare Department.                                      Member.

(3)Commr., Family Welfare, A.P. Hyd.                                                 Member

(3)Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad &

     Director General, Health Services, Hyderabad.                               Member.

(5)Director of Public Health & Family Welfare, Andhra Pradesh,

     Hyderabad.                                                                                  Member.

(6)Director of Medical Education, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad.                    Member.

(7)Commissioner, Disabled Welfare Department, Govt. of A.P.,Hyd.    Member.

(8)Supdt., Govt. Hospital for Mental Care, Visakhapatnam        Member/Secretary.

NON-OFFICIAL MEMBERS:

The Superintendent, Government Hospital for Mental Care, Visakhapatnam is hereby notified as the Secretary to the State Mental Health Authority under rule 13 of the State Mental Health Rules, 1990.

The Official Members shall hold office as Members so long as they hold office by virtue of which they are so appointed. The Non-official members shall hold office for a period of three years from the date of appointment and shall be eligible for re-appointment.
