Reforms in functioning of APPSC
In the letter first read above, the then Chairman I/C,
APPSC has informed that a meeting was held on 26.10.2010 and initially proposed
certain recommendations and suggestions for carrying out amendments to the
rules of procedure. The recommendations
are with regard to Finance autonomy, control of examination, restoration of
departmental committees and adoption of yearly calendar etc.,
2. The Hon’ble
Members of A.P. Public Service Commission in their representation 2nd
read above, have requested to appoint a
committee to go through the above reforms for its effective implementation.
3. Government
after careful examination, have considered to appoint a Committee to examine
the suggestions / Recommendations made by Commission. Accordingly, a Committee is hereby
constituted with the following:
1. Special C.S., GPM&AR
2. Principal Secretary (Finance
Department)
3. Secretary, Law Department
4. D.G. Centre for Good Governance
5. Secretary, A.P. Public Service
Commission
6. Secretary (Services) … Member/Convener
4. The above Committee
shall submit its recommendations to Government
through the Chief Secretary.
