O R D E R:
The Commissioner of Collegiate
Education, A.P., Hyderabad, in her letter read above, has stated that the
Principals, Lecturers and Non-Teaching staff of Government and Aided Degree
Colleges in Seemandhra region went
on strike from 17-09-2013 to 10-10-2013 in support of their demand for
Samaikyandhra. The Service Associations of the above mentioned categories
entered into an agreement with the Government on 10-10-2013 and called off the
strike on A/N of 10-10-2013 and resumed duties from the F/N of 11-10-2013. In
pursuance of the agreement entered on 10-10-2013 between the Service
Associations of Degree College and Higher Education Department, it has been
agreed upon that the number of days of absence on account of strike will be compensated
by working on equal number of holidays which will be treated as “on duty “ and
all the Principals, Lecturers and Non-Teaching staff have resumed duties from
the F/N of 11-10-2013 as per the agreement. Therefore, the Commissioner of
Collegiate Education, A.P., Hyderabad has requested the Govt. to issue orders
to treat the strike period as on duty as agreed upon in the agreement duly
compensating the period lost due to strike and to pay salaries to the staff for
the strike period.
2. After careful consideration and
taking a sympathetic view, the Government have decided that
the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff
of Government and Aided Degree Colleges in Seemandhra region will be paid
salary from 17-09-2013 to 10-10-2013 (24 days), duly compensating the working days
lost during the strike period by working in the holidays as appended as
Annexure to this order.
4. All the Drawing and Disbursing
Officers of Collegiate Education Department are permitted to
draw and disburse the salary for the
strike period to the teaching and non-teaching staff Government and Aided
Degree Colleges in Seemandhra region, who participated in the strike in view of
the adjustment of working days in holidays from November, 2013 to February,
2014. The Drawing and Disbursing Officers have to ensure that the teaching and
non-teaching staff have worked on holidays, while submitting the monthly pay
bills to Treasuries in future.
5. The Commissioner of Collegiate
Education, A.P., Hyderabad shall take further action in the
matter accordingly.
6. This order issue with the
concurrence of Finance(FR.II)Department vide their U.O.
No.27837/607/FR.I/2013,
