Additional 50 days of wage employment

ORDER:

The Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, AP, Hyderabad vide reference second read above has submitted that the State of Andhra Pradesh has received an average rain fall of 79.5 mm as against normal rain fall of 138.5 mm with a deficit of -43% and many of the mandals recorded a deficit rain fall of above -50%. Due to this situation, the agriculture activities across the state became very low and landless agriculture labourers are depending on the wage employment provided under the MGNREGS. Explaining the situation, the CPR&RD has requested the Government to provide additional 50 days employment to the families who have completed the ceiling of 100 days employment during the financial year 2014-15.    

2.    Government, after careful consideration of the proposal of the Commissioner PR&RD and as per the provisions of the Act in the reference first read above have hereby permitted the  Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, AP, Hyderabad to provide additional 50 days employment per household who have completed the ceiling of 100 days employment during the financial year 2014-15,

3.    The Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, AP, Hyderabad shall take necessary action accordingly.
