ORDER :
The
Commissioner, Rural Development, AP, Hyderabad in the
reference
second read above has informed that the AP Ground Water
Department
and Central Ground Water Board, Southern Region,
Hyderabad
have carried out the estimation of Ground Water Resources
in
Andhra Pradesh duly following the methodology approved by the
Ministry
of Water Resources, New Delhi and identified that the Ground
Water Basins
covering 946 villages in eight Districts in Andhra Pradesh
as Over
Exploited Villages, and requested for notification of the over
Exploited
Villages under APWALTA Act 2002 and ban on exploitation of
Ground
Water until further orders.
After
careful examination Government have extend the ban on
exploitation
of Ground Water in the over exploited villages list of which
has been
furnished by Ground Water Department from the date of issue
of this
notification till further orders.
Accordingly,
the appended notification will be published in the
Extraordinary
issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, Dated 27.03.2015
The
Commissioners of Printing, Stationary and Stores Purchase
(Printing
Wing), Hyderabad is requested to publish the following
notification
in the extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette and
furnish
1000 copies of the Notification to Government in Panchayat Raj
and
Rural Development (RDII) Department immediately.

NOTIFICATION
In
exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section
11 of the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Tress Authority
hereby
extend the declaration of ground water basins covering 946
villages
mentioned in the annexure to this notification as “over
exploited” from the date of issue of this notification till further
orders.
Under sub-section (3) of section 11 of the said Act, no well
can be
sunk in these areas except for public drinking purpose or
hand
pump for public or private drinking water purposes. Under the
proviso
to section 27 of the said Act no sand mining can be
permitted
in those areas till further orders.
